For quite some time, the Alaska State Library has been a part of a consortium of libraries that subscribe to downloadable audiobooks from Overdrive. This service has been known as ListenAlaska. At the recent Alaska Library Association conference in Anchorage, the group decided to expand our holdings into electronic books. These are available in two different Adobe formats, and in a variety of subjects. To determine whether or not you are eligible to access ListenAlaska, click on Member Libraries from the home page. If you have a Capital City Libraries card, you can access this resource with your library card barcode. If you are an employee of the State of Alaska, regardless of whether or not you are in Juneau, the State Library would be happy to create a library card for you so that you can access this neat resource.
